Starry Nights...
I dreamt upon a starry night
Of lights that twinkled and shone so bright;
Of flowers that glowed a purplish hue;
Of crystals that reflected a ghostly tune.
I dreamt upon a starry night
Of eyes that sparkled yet saw no light;
Of words long-lost but not forgotten;
Of colors seen yet can’t be touched.
I dreamt, I dreamt, of starry nights.

Asleep but not asleep (An off-the-head whimsical poem)
Blow the North Wind, the North Wind blows
Sleep to my lovely, while sleepless she lays.
Blow the South Wind, the South Wind blows
Dreams to my lovely, while dreamless she lays.
And when the South and the North Winds have gone,
Still, she lays till the end of days.
And when the Winds blow by again,
My lovely she lays till the end of days.

Of Births & Deaths
Of births, I have seen a few,
Of deaths, so I have too.
When Death he comes at the witching hour,
My soul to claim, thus do I weepeth.
Yet plain as plain for all to see,
My eyes, though full, cry not for me.
But for the children, and those who be,
Who smile, and play, and dance with glee.
In a future where hope stays fast asleep,
Yet hope it is, that covers my feet.
When all else is gone, and darkness looms,
In the far between, In the maddening gloom.
A sound it carries in the light of spring,
A birth of a child, and the laughter it brings.
I lay awake in the day/night betwixt,
In a dream without words, and sorrow it seems.

The Golliwog Monster (A tribute to Ahhh! Real Monsters)
如果你看過Nicktoon(海綿寶寶也是Nicktoons 之一),應該有看過“Ahhh! Real Monsters!”。有一天我心血來潮,寫了一首關於黑人娃娃怪獸的詩。

The Nine-Headed Dragons
The Nine-Headed dragon soared through the skies,
Wondering aloud who had taken his pearls.
"Was it you?" he asked the little sparrows,
As they flew to their nests in the dusky cloud whorls.
Small as they be, the sparrows were proud,
"Nor thieves nor robbers nor looters we be!"
"Be off with you, big bully!" they cried,
"With nine heads, you should see more than we!"
The Nine-Headed dragon, red-faced with shame,
swooped down towards the ocean where the dolphins played.
"Did you see my big, shining moons of pearls?" he asked,
Since the sparrows’ rebuttals, a wee bit more humbled.
“So long, farewell,” the dolphins sang in jest.
“The pearls, like moons, have gone up, up and AWAY!
“And if you want to catch them, as your nine heads are thinking,
“Ask the sun at the close of the day!”
Thinking he finally knew the name of the thief,
Towards the setting sun, he speeded with glee
“Hang on, you big round, rotund, fatty
“Return me my pearls, or you’ll not set in peace!”
“The Fool, he thinks that I am jolly,
Knows not my wrath in all its glory.”
And thus, nine burnt and tattered faces
Was all the proof of the dragon’s folly.
In tears and despair, the dragon returned
To his lair, the one place where he felt unthreatened
Lo and behold his surprise and anguish
That he had been searching for had never,
Ever,
Ever,
Been
Taken!

The Longkang @ Kampung Java (A silly poem that doesn't even rhyme)
I saw a bird sitting in the rain
Atop the drain on Kampung Java lane.
It's feathers were drab and grey,
Unfortunately, I knew not its name.
I saw a bird standing on one leg
Inside the drain on Kampung Java lane.
Skinny white was in and so was it,
Unfortunately, I knew not its name.
I saw little fishes darting here and there
Inside the drain on Kampung Java lane.
Little tadpoles too I see,
Unfortunately, I knew not their names.
A lot of life I pass and see,
Everyday along the drain on Kampung Java lane.
Sometimes I wonder how I do not see,
The life that goes on around me.
